Job Description

Overview

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
  • Administer immunizations, perform screenings, and collect specimens as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care.
  • Coordinate appointments and follow-ups with off-site providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance service delivery.
  • Support social work staff in obtaining consents and coordinating care plans.
  • Assist in managing clinic operations and maintaining a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise clinic activities to ensure timely patient encounters.
  • Monitor cases to meet regulatory agency timeframes.
  • Perform vital sign assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Administer immunizations and conduct screenings as ordered.
  • Coordinate dental and optometry sessions for pediatric patients.
  • Ensure compliance with adolescent risk assessments and counseling requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for clinic operations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to special projects.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide health-related information as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with RN certification and license.
  • Updated First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
  • Completion of mandated courses in Infection Control and Abuse Reporting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and data entry.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture and administer immunizations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
