Overview
- Lead accounting and financial operations for a growing construction company, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, acquisitions, and systems upgrades.
- Oversee construction-specific financials, including job costing, WIP schedules, and subcontractor compliance.
- Implement and optimize ERP/accounting systems to meet the demands of rapid growth.
- Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to financial policies and compliance requirements.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture aligned with organizational values.
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Contribute to the organization's ambitious growth plans, aiming for significant revenue scaling.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Oversee construction-specific financial processes, such as job costing, WIP schedules, and change orders.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide financial decision-making.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, promoting professional growth and alignment with company values.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, including market expansion and acquisitions.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Proven expertise in construction accounting, including WIP schedules and job costing.
- Experience in scaling financial systems and processes to support significant organizational growth.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentorship.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and their optimization for business growth.
