Accountant

Overview

• Play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance within a leading organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to refine accounting policies and drive operational improvements.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and statements to support strategic decision-making.
• Engage in regulatory filings and compliance tasks, ensuring fiscal integrity.
• Participate in month-end close processes for timely and accurate reporting.
• Support external audits by providing comprehensive documentation and insights.
• Collaborate on intercompany reconciliations to maintain financial consistency.
• Contribute to ad hoc financial projects, enhancing organizational capabilities and growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, ensuring adherence to financial standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to update and implement accounting policies.
• Conduct testing for business changes and system enhancements.
• Assist in external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Draft and review financial statements for accuracy and reliability.
• Ensure proper allocation and ledger posting of accounts payable invoices.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Process payments to vendors and affiliates using advanced financial systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS standards is essential.
• Experience with SAP input and reporting is highly preferred.
• Series 99 and Series 27 FINOP certifications required within specified timelines.
• Familiarity with trade processing systems and enterprise systems is advantageous.
• Strong ability to collaborate with back-office support units effectively.
• Flexibility for calls and video conferences outside regular business hours.
