Job Description

Overview

  • Provide medical support to healthcare providers and assist with clinical activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
  • Ensure exam rooms are prepared, stocked, and cleaned for patient encounters, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Perform patient intake procedures, including obtaining vital signs and documenting them in electronic medical records.
  • Assist with patient care tasks, including phlebotomy, as directed by medical providers or Nurse Manager.
  • Maintain universal precautions and adhere to safety protocols in all clinical activities.
  • Support clinic operations by organizing patient summary sheets and charts for daily use.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
  • Adapt to schedule changes, including late clinics and possible weekend shifts, as required.

  • Adapt to schedule changes and fulfill duties during late clinics and potential weekend shifts.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred, with strong clinical skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and computer literacy.
  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred to enhance patient communication.
  • Ability to adapt to schedule changes, including late clinics and potential weekend shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and a stable work history are essential.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, adults, and underserved communities.
