Technical Accounting Manager

Overview

• Lead technical accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Oversee month-end close processes, consolidations, and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Provide expertise in technical accounting areas including ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 842.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP systems and accounting workflows.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls aligned with SOX standards.
• Support external audits and prepare comprehensive financial statements and disclosures.
• Contribute to special projects, including process automation and operational scaling.
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly close processes, including general ledger oversight and intercompany eliminations.
• Research and apply complex technical accounting guidance, preparing detailed memos and policies.
• Coordinate external audits, resolving issues and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Enhance ERP systems and reporting capabilities in collaboration with IT and other departments.
• Design and maintain internal controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Analyze financial data, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
• Lead special projects to improve efficiency and scalability of accounting operations.
• Develop and coach team members, promoting professional growth and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including public accounting and industry roles.
• Proficiency in US GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting research.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with NetSuite ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, fostering team development and collaboration.
• Experience in designing and implementing SOX-compliant internal controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
