Overview
- Serve as a Leasing Specialist, ensuring effective management of housing programs and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct client interviews to determine eligibility and manage housing applications and renewals.
- Negotiate rent agreements with landlords and process rent increase requests efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Market housing programs and ensure compliance with program rules and regulations.
- Complete accurate data entry and maintain detailed records of program participants.
- Submit referrals for additional services as required to support client needs.
- Work onsite in designated locations with a focus on collaboration and program success.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Interview clients to assess eligibility for housing programs and process applications.
- Certify and recertify program participants annually and manage interim updates.
- Negotiate rent amounts with landlords and address rent increase requests.
- Advise participants and landlords on program rules and compliance requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure positive experiences for all stakeholders.
- Market housing programs to potential participants and landlords effectively.
- Monitor program participants for compliance and submit referrals as necessary.
- Utilize Microsoft Office for documentation and communication purposes.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred; Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of leasing or property management experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Housing Choice Voucher, Tax Credit, or other subsidized programs is a plus.
- Compliance background preferred for effective program monitoring.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for onsite work.
- Ability to work onsite in designated locations five days a week.
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and landlords.
