Overview

  • Serve as a dedicated Medical Assistant in a pediatric healthcare environment, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Perform clinical procedures including vaccinations, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccinations, and suture removal with accuracy and care.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Answer phone calls and provide helpful information to patients and families.
  • Verify insurance details to facilitate seamless billing and patient care.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) with meticulous attention to detail.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; certifications in medical assisting are preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical setting; pediatric experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medications and dosages.
  • Certification in phlebotomy and ability to perform EKGs and vaccinations.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance verification processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with patients.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Background check clearance required prior to employment.
