Overview

  • Lead accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards while optimizing processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives and support organizational goals.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax filings, and journal entries to ensure compliance and precision.
  • Mentor and guide accounting staff, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Implement and refine accounting principles to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support affiliates with financial analysis, reporting, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee accounting processes, ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve journal entries, work papers, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounting workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance.
  • Utilize advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for effective financial reporting and presentations.
  • Provide insights and analysis to support leadership’s financial decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and train accounting staff, promoting professional development and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in GAAP accounting techniques and general ledger systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and leadership.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
