Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily operations of the critical care unit, ensuring optimal patient care and staff performance.
  • Develop and implement policies to improve care quality and operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and professional guidelines.
  • Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced healthcare technologies to enhance patient care and operational processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care leadership experience in critical care; 5 years preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from recognized organizations.
  • Preferred certifications include CCRN and/or CNRN.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Experience with advanced healthcare technologies and facilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies enhancing patient care quality and efficiency.
