Overview

  • Lead nursing operations and clinical services at a healthcare organization, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee a growing team of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and MAs, fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Promote wellness and preventive health initiatives while driving quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement innovative care models and enhance clinic workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, DOH, and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe and effective care environment.
  • Develop and oversee health education materials and training curricula to enhance patient and staff knowledge.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and ethical standards.
  • Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, inventory, and quality control for laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Oversee delivery of sensitive nursing care, including triage, health education, and medication administration.
  • Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Conduct performance reviews and serve as a role model for professional competence and ethical standards.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and purchasing of medical supplies, vaccines, and medications.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and oversee certification processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement new programs and interdisciplinary care models.
  • Develop and provide health education resources to enhance health literacy among patients and staff.

Job Requirements

  • Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse License is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; advanced leadership experience is essential.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in nursing, preferably in outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with infection control, DOH, and OSHA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR systems and clinical workflow optimization is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success.
