Overview

  • Lead nursing operations in a dynamic ICU setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily ICU operations, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and excellence in patient care.
  • Develop departmental goals aligned with hospital strategic plans and patient care objectives.
  • Manage personnel activities, including recruitment, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Prepare and oversee departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
  • Ensure staff compliance with education, competency, and certification requirements.
  • Participate in hospital supervision, safety initiatives, and performance improvement programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; current state nursing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Certification in specialty area or Nurse Manager Leadership (CNML) preferred within three years of hire.
  • Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience; management experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to function effectively as a staff RN.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of management principles and healthcare practices.
