Job Description

Overview

  • Lead construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals effectively and efficiently.
  • Oversee on-site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Contribute to organizational growth by delivering high-quality projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning and bid evaluations to ensure project feasibility and alignment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively address any issues or delays.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure construction meets established standards and specifications.
  • Resolve conflicts and challenges on-site to maintain project momentum and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the preconstruction team to align execution strategies with initial plans.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of managing projects in the $5-10M range successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage teams and operations effectively.
  • Ability to work on-site five days a week and oversee operations directly.
  • Experience with public and hard bid projects is preferred.
  • Vehicle provided for job-related travel and site visits.
