Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and oversee interior design projects, ensuring innovative solutions and client satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
  • Coordinate project proposals, contracts, and agreements with consultants to maintain project alignment and quality.
  • Develop schedules, manpower plans, and budgets to meet contractual obligations and project goals.
  • Conduct client interviews to understand design requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor project accounting and provide updates to leadership for financial oversight.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering professional growth and team excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide leadership and coordination for interior design projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
  • Prepare and administer agreements for subcontracted consultants, maintaining project integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, and budgets consistent with contractual terms.
  • Conduct programming interviews to gather client requirements and translate them into actionable design plans.
  • Implement and manage the design process, ensuring compliance with workplace codes and regulations.
  • Direct project meetings, fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Monitor project accounting and provide updates to principals to ensure financial alignment.
  • Mentor junior staff, promoting skill development and professional growth within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in interior design projects, with 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and REVIT; rendering skills are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture and interior design planning, technical detailing, and construction processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development in the field of interior design.
