Job Description

Overview

  • Lead architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards and project objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality commercial architectural solutions.
  • Utilize your expertise in California building codes and regulations to ensure compliance throughout project phases.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve optimal results.
  • Coordinate and oversee Requests for Information (RFIs) and other project documentation.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for commercial architectural projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and team members to address project challenges.
  • Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to California building codes and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative solutions for client needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) or equivalent degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural project management; 7 years preferred.
  • Proven experience managing mid to large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of California building codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in handling RFIs and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools for architectural design and project management.
