Job Description

Overview

  • Lead estimation efforts for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost analysis and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project estimates and budgets.
  • Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders, showcasing estimation methodologies and findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, trends, and pricing models.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies during estimation processes.
  • Support the client in pursuing new sectors like road and bridge construction.
  • Contribute to fostering a collaborative and innovative company culture.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
  • Analyze bid proposals and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates on budget adherence and cost variances.
  • Utilize industry-standard software tools for estimation and project management.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in cost planning.
  • Participate in strategic planning for expanding into new construction sectors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimation; 6 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as AutoCAD or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
