Overview
- Lead clinical operations, ensuring smooth functioning of primary care, specialty care, and laboratory services.
- Supervise and train clinical support staff, fostering professional growth and excellence.
- Monitor patient flow and workload to optimize productivity and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate prenatal program activities and ensure compliance with clinical procedures.
- Maintain organized and confidential electronic medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
- Implement infection control measures in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review meetings to drive clinical excellence.
- Provide coverage and support to other Clinical Care Managers as needed.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Recruit, hire, and supervise clinical support staff, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
- Develop and monitor staff schedules to ensure efficient clinical operations.
- Screen walk-in patients and prioritize care based on urgency and practitioner availability.
- Address patient complaints and inquiries, directing them to appropriate resources.
- Provide ongoing clinical in-service training to nursing and medical assistant staff.
- Forecast and administer immunizations, ensuring compliance with health standards.
- Chair monthly nursing meetings to discuss updates and address concerns.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Care Managers to align network-wide clinical practices.
- Assist in implementing and evaluating grant objectives and clinical procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum two years of experience in an ambulatory setting, including pediatric care.
- Supervisory experience managing clinical teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage busy clinical environments.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for enhanced communication.
- Commitment to infection control and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with healthcare providers and community agencies.
