Job Description

Overview

  • Perform imaging procedures adhering to professional standards and organizational policies.
  • Educate patients on procedures, ensuring understanding and cooperation.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring quality control standards.
  • Analyze imaging results, addressing quality issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with radiology students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and judgment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review patient history and physician orders, scheduling procedures accordingly.
  • Educate patients on imaging procedures and equipment usage.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as required.
  • Monitor and report patient condition changes during procedures.
  • Prepare imaging equipment and supplies, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Perform imaging procedures, analyzing and addressing quality issues.
  • Transmit imaging results and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with radiology students and team members for effective outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required.
  • State licensure and BLS certification mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in imaging equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
