Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate billing processes for multiple international offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm guidelines.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-bills, review and edit based on attorney requests.
  • Submit bills to clients, including handling complex billing scenarios and e-billing submissions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve e-billing issues, ensuring client guidelines are met.
  • Maintain and update billing data in internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance on special projects and other assigned duties.
  • Opportunity to work remotely with occasional office visits if preferred.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Compile, analyze, and process attorney bills for clients monthly.
  • Prepare complex bills, including discounts, split party billing, and electronic submissions.
  • Review supporting documentation for billing accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle high volumes of e-billing submissions, adhering to client and firm protocols.
  • Resolve rejected e-bills and troubleshoot billing issues efficiently.
  • Maintain and update client data in billing systems and external applications.
  • Assist with special projects and perform duties assigned by the Director of Finance.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of legal e-billing experience required.
  • Experience with multi-currency billing and LEDES billing formats.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with Word.
  • High proficiency with Aderant billing software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including basic math abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and multitask effectively under pressure.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
