Job Description

Overview

  • Provide advanced respiratory care and diagnostic procedures to patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics in a hospital setting.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient areas of the hospital.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and administer respiratory therapies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform all cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and respiratory care modalities as required.
  • Administer advanced respiratory therapies to patients with diverse conditions, including high-risk deliveries and neonates.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EPIC systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Colorado or ability to obtain before start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with diverse patient populations in respiratory therapy.
  • Preferred experience with high-risk deliveries, neonates, and EPIC systems.
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous but not required.
