Job Description

Overview

  • Support the Senior Director of Credentialing in executing projects and administrative functions within the Enterprise Credentialing & Academic Promotions department.
  • Collaborate with staff members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across the department.
  • Provide exceptional project management and administrative support to enhance departmental efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze and review credentialing documents for compliance with established standards and flag any adverse information.
  • Maintain tracking systems for credentialing processes and ensure timely follow-up on pending applications.
  • Prepare data reports and dashboards for provider profiles and credentialing status updates.
  • Work in a fully remote capacity with a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week.
  • Engage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment requiring discretion in handling confidential communication.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Initiate and process initial appointment and reappointment applications for healthcare providers across hospital and regional sites.
  • Audit and maintain provider files in compliance with legal documentation and confidentiality standards.
  • Track and manage expiring licenses, registrations, health assessments, and professional practice evaluations.
  • Prepare files for payor delegated credentialing audits ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Develop and implement credentialing reports and workflows to streamline departmental operations.
  • Coordinate meetings with program coordinators and administrators to facilitate collaboration.
  • Create PowerPoint dashboards and other reports to support departmental needs.
  • Provide backup coverage and perform other administrative assignments as required.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree with one to three years of credentialing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Cactus software and MSOW is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently manage projects.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in database maintenance and word processing; attention to detail in document management.
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential communication and sensitive information.
