Overview

  • Lead investment accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and statutory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize investment strategies and reporting frameworks.
  • Manage a team of accountants, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls for investment accounting operations.
  • Support strategic business initiatives through detailed accounting and reporting analyses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance reporting for diverse investment portfolios.
  • Participate in audits and evaluations to uphold compliance and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to process redesign efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage with investment teams to provide strategic insights and advisory support.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee GAAP and statutory accounting for commercial real estate loans and partnerships.
  • Evaluate CECL model results and lead audit processes related to CECL.
  • Lead and develop a team of accountants, promoting a culture of improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and achieve superior results.
  • Maintain SOX controls documentation and assess operational risks.
  • Provide comprehensive analyses for new investment opportunities.
  • Support strategic initiatives through detailed accounting and reporting efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and statutory accounting standards.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials, TM1, Black Rock, and PAM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing teams and projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
