Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and improve Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense operations in a hybrid work environment.
  • Manage a team to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant financial processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance systems and workflows.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and accounting standards.
  • Support audit processes and maintain documentation for SOX compliance.
  • Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including invoice intake, approvals, and payment execution.
  • Manage Travel & Expense reporting and reimbursement processes with a focus on policy compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT on system enhancements and integrations for AP and expense management.
  • Leverage automation to reduce manual work and improve cycle times.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with auditors for walkthroughs, testing, and remediation activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering accountability and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable and expense management.
  • 3+ years of people management experience at a senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP and expense management systems like Workday or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and publicly traded environments.
  • Proven ability to lead change and improve processes in complex settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
