Job Description
Overview
- Lead accounting and reporting for General Partner entities within a dynamic investment platform.
- Ensure accurate financial close processes, partner allocations, and GP-level economic calculations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax reporting, audits, and entity structuring.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements for GP accounting workflows.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of accounting policies and controls for GP entities.
- Work in a hybrid environment within a rapidly growing investment organization.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes for GP entities.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review GP profit and loss statements and partner capital accounts.
- Calculate carried interest and other GP-level economic metrics.
- Lead preparation of financial statements and audit documentation.
- Collaborate with Tax and Legal teams for tax reporting and structuring.
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows and systems.
- Document and implement GP-specific accounting policies and controls.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in partnership accounting; 12 years preferred.
- Expertise in GAAP-based reporting and financial close processes.
- Proficiency in calculating carried interest and GP-level economic metrics.
- Strong collaboration skills with Tax, Legal, and Operations teams.
- Experience in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and judgment in financial reporting.
