Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for a management company, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and delivering accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate audits and manage auditor requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance accounting workflows and systems.
  • Support intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and fee reconciliations with precision.
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and internal reporting packages.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules for affiliated entities.
  • Assist FP&A team with financial analysis across business units and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and reporting packages for leadership.
  • Support the development and optimization of accounting tools, templates, and systems.
  • Coordinate audit timelines, prepare schedules, and manage auditor requests effectively.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams on accounting matters.
  • Perform liquidity analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling for planning purposes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, preferably within management company accounting.
  • Proficiency in GAAP-based financial reporting and advanced financial analysis techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and fee reconciliations.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with a focus on process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
