Overview

  • Join a dynamic Portfolio Finance team responsible for managing leverage and financing costs, collaborating with investment teams, and optimizing financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and analyze daily margin and financing costs across various financial instruments and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain financing cost allocation methodologies, ensuring efficiency across asset classes.
  • Execute repo transactions and facilitate securities borrowing to optimize short position costs.
  • Manage firm-level FX exposures, implementing appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to assess financing impacts on investment strategies.
  • Partner with treasury teams for liquidity management and cash reinvestment activities.
  • Engage with middle office teams for trade support and cash wire operations.
  • Maintain relationships with prime brokers, repo desks, and other financing counterparties.
  • Continuously seek improvements in processes, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in portfolio finance, treasury, or prime brokerage funding roles.
  • Proficiency in financing methods for equities and credit, with a deep understanding of leverage and margin concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and a control-oriented mindset for firm-wide operations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in FX hedging and managing financial exposures.
  • Ability to work on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of improving processes and enhancing reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with interacting with prime brokers, repo desks, and stock loan desks.
