Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Record and categorize daily and monthly financial transactions accurately across multiple entities.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and merchant accounts promptly.
- Process accounts payable and manage vendor bills and payment schedules.
- Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and reporting packages for clients.
- Assist with year-end reconciliations and provide documentation for tax preparation and audits.
- Monitor cash balances and project cash needs, notifying senior staff as required.
- Educate clients on financial processes and documentation best practices.
- Support onboarding of new clients and recommend workflow enhancements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping experience, with 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and MS Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable management.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting tax preparation and audits.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain audit-ready client files.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.
- Proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and recommending process improvements.
