Job Description

Overview

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to transitional and family support teams within the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance youth and family engagement and support.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of family-centered treatment and discharge plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain high standards of care.
  • Support educational and emotional growth for youth through effective coordination with schools and families.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative meetings to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Provide direct services as needed and manage transitional and permanency programs.
  • Foster a collaborative and structured environment emphasizing safety and therapeutic approaches.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and support transitional coordinators and family connections specialists.
  • Develop and implement plans addressing barriers to successful family reunification.
  • Coordinate with community-based programs to ensure effective family support.
  • Maintain compliance with OMH regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and utilize transitional funds effectively following policies.
  • Participate in treatment meetings and provide updates to administration.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with local resources and referral systems.
  • Support teams in navigating systems impacting youth and families.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct services to children with serious emotional disturbances.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in social services.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with residential programs and high-acuity populations.
  • Knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques.
  • Willingness to work weekends and travel to families’ homes.
