Job Description

Overview

  • Lead commercial construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality adherence, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with trade partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimize scheduling and resource allocation for efficient project execution.
  • Supervise on-site activities, enforcing safety protocols and compliance with construction codes and regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing challenges proactively to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, timelines, and budgets for stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards across all project phases.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting productivity and teamwork among subcontractors and team members.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address technical challenges and ensure project feasibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, coordinating with trade partners and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to address concerns and provide updates.
  • Manage resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts and challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address technical issues and ensure project feasibility.
  • Prepare and submit documentation, including permits, reports, and compliance records, to relevant authorities.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and coordinating trade partners and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze project requirements and implement effective solutions to challenges.
  • Experience in preparing detailed reports and documentation for project tracking and compliance.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools is preferred.
