Job Description

Overview

  • Manage accounts receivable operations, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with established procedures for residential and commercial properties.
  • Resolve customer escalations and inquiries with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct detailed ledger analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support legal inquiries and special credit programs.
  • Develop proficiency in property management systems, adhering to standard operating procedures for efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying trends and opportunities within accounts receivable operations.
  • Support lease administration functions, including rent billing, adjustments, and move-in/move-out processes.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to oversee daily lease administration tasks and operations.
  • Address resident and tenant inquiries proactively, ensuring satisfaction and minimizing follow-ups.
  • Analyze account histories to manage escalated cases and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address complex matters, including amended leases and legal inquiries.
  • Utilize property management systems to maintain data accuracy and operational consistency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within accounts receivable operations.
  • Support financial data management, reconciliations, and ledger analysis tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with documented SOPs and organizational standards.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive accounts receivable experience, preferably in multifamily residential environments.
  • Associate of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with property management systems like Yardi or MRI is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with professionalism in navigating sensitive situations.
