Overview

  • Deliver specialized physical therapy services to pediatric patients within an educational setting, fostering their physical development and mobility skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to design individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physical abilities, motor skills, and therapy progress.
  • Ensure therapy practices align with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain and organize therapy equipment and spaces to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
  • Document therapy sessions and progress accurately, adhering to organizational and payer requirements.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement personalized physical therapy plans for pediatric patients, addressing their unique needs and goals.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active state Physical Therapy license meeting all regulatory requirements.
  • Experience or training in pediatric physical therapy is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of therapy techniques, intervention planning, and progress evaluation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing therapy areas and documentation.
