Job Description

Overview

  • Support mutual fund operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in daily workflows and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address inquiries and enhance operational strategies.
  • Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Analyze shareholder activity reports to identify trends and discrepancies for resolution.
  • Prepare detailed management reports and escalation summaries for leadership review.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of correspondence, issue logs, and service reviews.
  • Contribute to due diligence reviews and documentation of control testing processes.
  • Ensure mutual fund profiles are accurately updated in industry systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage transfer agent operations, including trade processing and account maintenance.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to ensure adherence to service standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and document results of control testing activities.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to address operational inquiries effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of operational activities and correspondence logs.
  • Contribute to projects focused on process automation and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate updates of mutual fund profiles in relevant industry systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of experience in mutual fund operations or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in operational tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Series 6, 7 certifications or relevant coursework are advantageous.
  • Interest in mutual funds and investment management industry is highly valued.
