- Provide divisional support for regulatory and policy matters as required.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance, addressing development needs and ensuring accountability.
- Coordinate staff schedules and monitor staffing levels to meet patient care demands.
- Facilitate orientation and training programs for new personnel and nursing students.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Director on budget planning and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement unit objectives, monitoring progress and reporting outcomes.
- Conduct Nurse Leader Rounding to enhance patient satisfaction and address concerns.
- Participate in recruitment processes, recommending candidates for hire.
Job Requirements
- Licensed and registered as a Nurse in the State of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or national professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a staff nurse and supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams effectively.
