Job Description

Overview

  • Provide specialized accounting expertise for private equity and hedge funds managed by the client.
  • Ensure precise transaction posting, journal entry processing, and financial reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and optimize accounting processes.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software to enhance operational efficiency and reporting capabilities.
  • Support year-end audits and tax processes with comprehensive financial documentation.
  • Contribute to dynamic projects and adapt to evolving business needs effectively.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in accounting platforms and tools for optimal performance.
  • Ensure timely execution of capital calls and distributions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor and manage capital calls and distributions for portfolio investments.
  • Prepare month-end close accounting work papers and reconciliations for financial accuracy.
  • Track and record monthly valuations for hedge fund investments consistently.
  • Initiate and process wire transfers with proper documentation and verification.
  • Reconcile trading activities and review settlements to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting year-end audits effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams to address technical details and improve accounting processes.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects throughout the year with professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with private equity or hedge funds.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Investran is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet timely deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively across teams and levels.
  • Detailed analytical skills and aptitude for process improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, hybrid work environment with adaptability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
