Job Description

Overview

  • Drive fund accounting operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in a dynamic investment environment.
  • Prepare and review performance estimates, NAV calculations, and financial statements for diverse fund entities.
  • Collaborate with administrators during month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reviews.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and SOC 1 testing with external auditors and administrators.
  • Provide analytics and reporting to senior management and investor relations teams.
  • Prepare and review regulatory filings such as Form PF and Form PQR, ensuring compliance.
  • Participate in special projects, including system enhancements, workflow optimization, and new fund setups.
  • Interpret fund legal documents to establish and refine accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review monthly internal performance reports and NAV estimates for fund entities.
  • Collaborate with administrators on month-end close processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Reconcile profit/loss and custody data between internal systems and administrators.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors for SOC 1 testing.
  • Assist investor relations with performance estimates, subscriptions, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide detailed analytics and reporting to senior management and investor relations teams.
  • Prepare and review regulatory filings and tax preparation schedules.
  • Participate in technology system enhancements and workflow optimization initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in public accounting or fund accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP investment company accounting standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in securities and derivatives product knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience with regulatory filings and audit coordination preferred.
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and establish robust accounting policies.
