Overview
- Contribute to the financial reporting processes of a leading financial services firm, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering accurate, timely reports.
- Assist in preparing SEC filings, including 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K, while maintaining adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, supporting strategic decision-making and reporting accuracy.
- Engage in stock administration tasks, including Form 4 filings and dividend payment processing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and analyses, ensuring compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
- Participate in preparing comprehensive reporting packages for executive management and stakeholders.
- Perform competitive peer analyses and ad-hoc financial analyses to support organizational objectives.
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with SEC and NYSE rules, enhancing the firm's regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and manage workpapers and analyses supporting financial statement disclosures in SEC filings.
- Coordinate external press releases and assist investor relations functions to ensure consistent communication.
- Complete quarterly disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Maintain accurate share count schedules and oversee stock administration responsibilities.
- Provide analytical support for financial reporting and regulatory compliance tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for financial reporting purposes.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting and compliance standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Preferred experience in a large-tier accounting firm or public company.
- Proficiency in GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.
