Job Description

Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and delivering precise financial reporting for diverse fund structures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external administrators to optimize workflows and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, performance reports, and regulatory filings to meet compliance standards.
  • Coordinate audits, ensuring timely submission of audited financial statements and maintaining transparency.
  • Develop and implement controls and procedures to enhance operational accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior management on fund performance and financial trends.
  • Engage in special projects and initiatives to support organizational growth and objectives.
  • Maintain detailed records of fund activities, investor allocations, and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee NAV finalization, P&L reconciliation, and investor allocations for private fund structures.
  • Review and reconcile management and incentive fee calculations per fund documentation.
  • Approve capital account statements and coordinate capital calls and distributions.
  • Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and regulatory reports with precision and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during audits and reporting cycles.
  • Review expense allocations, budgets, and vendor payments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Analyze fund legal documents and implement streamlined processes for operational improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of firm-wide standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of fund accounting experience, ideally in a senior role.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience with Credit, Enfusion, and Sage Intacct software is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills for complex accounting operations.
