Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the construction of state-of-the-art cold storage facilities, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and timeline objectives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project execution and deliver exceptional results.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement innovative quality control measures to maintain high construction standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Review and approve design documents and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate material procurement and integrate schedules to optimize project workflows.
  • Utilize advanced BIM and CAD tools to enhance planning and construction processes.
  • Travel as necessary to oversee project progress and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Develop and monitor critical path schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Oversee project budgets, implementing cost-effective strategies to achieve financial goals.
  • Implement comprehensive safety programs, promoting a secure working environment.
  • Review design documents and shop drawings to ensure project feasibility and accuracy.
  • Coordinate material procurement, integrating schedules to streamline construction processes.
  • Establish and monitor quality control programs to uphold construction standards.
  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams to ensure seamless operations and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in construction or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cold storage or food & beverage construction; 15 years preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Proficiency in BIM, CAD, and MS Project scheduling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of current building codes and construction market trends.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring project teams.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to oversee project progress and ensure success.
