Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient interviews to gather symptoms and vital signs, aiding diagnostic and treatment processes.
  • Administer medications and vaccines following established protocols to ensure patient safety and efficacy.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory analysis with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ensure medical equipment is sterilized and examination rooms are prepared for patient visits.
  • Accurately document patient data in electronic medical records systems for effective communication and tracking.
  • Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to enhance patient outcomes and care quality.
  • Apply department policies and procedures effectively to complete assignments and ensure compliance.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required; compliance with health screening programs mandatory.
  • Proficiency in medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Value-Based Care, HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and patient experience metrics preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish advantageous; proficiency exam required.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, on-site.
