Overview

  • Serve as Assistant Fund Controller, managing accounting operations for a leading financial services firm with significant assets under management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Support fund launches, regulatory reporting, and operational accounting processes.
  • Contribute to trade settlements, investor relations, and financial strategy development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage fund accounting operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and disclosures for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate trade settlements and oversee operational accounting processes.
  • Assist in fund launches and manage accounting for new investment structures.
  • Collaborate with investor relations to support client inquiries and reporting needs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance accounting systems and processes for operational efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff within the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting or financial services.
  • Preferred 12 years of experience with expertise in fund structures and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting, trade settlements, and investor relations.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate financial management.
  • Ability to work on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
