Senior Accountant

Overview

• Support joint venture and corporate accounting functions in a dynamic real estate investment firm.
• Gain exposure to financial reporting, multi-entity accounting, and real estate investments.
• Collaborate with high-performing teams in a hybrid work environment.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for corporate and joint venture entities.
• Assist in preparing schedules for investments, contributions, distributions, and activity tracking.
• Provide documentation and support for audits and tax filings.
• Maintain organized accounting files ensuring accuracy across reporting processes.
• Engage in ad hoc projects and analyses supporting the Controller and investment teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for joint venture entities.
• Support journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare funding requests.
• Assist in annual audits and tax filing processes.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for corporate and joint venture entities.
• Maintain schedules for investments, contributions, and distributions.
• Ensure organized and accurate accounting file management.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses for the Controller and investment teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience; real estate exposure preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial data management.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate accounting files.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is advantageous.
