Senior Accountant

Overview

• Contribute to financial reporting and accounting operations within a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Gain exposure to real estate investments and multi-entity accounting processes.
• Support joint venture and corporate accounting functions with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with investment teams to ensure accurate financial documentation.
• Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for corporate and JV entities.
• Assist in audits, tax filings, and financial reporting for diverse entities.
• Develop expertise in GAAP principles and financial data management.
• Participate in ad hoc projects to enhance organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and update schedules for investments, contributions, distributions, and JV-level activity.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting for joint venture entities.
• Support corporate accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Monitor cash activity and prepare funding requests for disbursement processing.
• Provide documentation and support for annual audits and tax filings.
• Maintain organized accounting files and ensure accuracy across all reporting.
• Collaborate with the Controller and investment teams on ad hoc projects.
• Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; exposure to real estate preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
