Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Social Work and Group Therapy departments, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulations.
  • Advocate for patient interests and departmental safety while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to department members, including licensure support.
  • Conduct monthly group supervision sessions for all department members.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as required by senior leadership.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary treatment teams to enhance patient and family care.
  • Utilize electronic health records to document and manage patient information effectively.
  • Support community impact through informed decision-making and leadership.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the Social Work and Group Therapy departments, overseeing operations and ensuring compliance.
  • Supervise department members, providing guidance and support for licensure and professional development.
  • Conduct monthly group supervision sessions to foster collaboration and skill development.
  • Advocate for patient and staff interests, ensuring safety and quality care.
  • Attend leadership and departmental support meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Utilize electronic health records for accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Implement strategies to improve departmental performance and patient care standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; LICSW licensure mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience and management role experience.
  • Valid CPR certification preferred; proficiency in electronic health records is advantageous.
  • Experience with Medsphere/Vista electronic health records is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and advocacy skills to support patients and staff.
  • Ability to conduct supervision sessions and support professional development.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
