Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic investment management firm as an Investment Operations and Accounting Associate, contributing to complex fund structures and bespoke transactions.
  • Engage in a hybrid role combining accounting and operational responsibilities, emphasizing reconciliations and oversight.
  • Collaborate on special projects, including new fund launches and process improvements.
  • Work closely with third-party administrators to ensure accuracy in complex transactions.
  • Contribute to operational enhancements and automation initiatives to streamline processes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of private credit and private equity structures.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reconcile cash flows, positions, and fund-level economics across funds and SPVs.
  • Oversee and instruct third-party administrators on non-standard transactions.
  • Review accounting outputs, including NAV support and capital activity.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across systems and reports.
  • Support bank account setup, broker onboarding, and trade settlement coordination.
  • Contribute to special projects, including new fund launches and operational enhancements.
  • Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operational execution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fund accounting, investment operations, or middle office roles.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in private credit or private equity structures.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively in complex environments.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and ownership mindset.
  • Comfortable with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
