Overview
- Lead operations of an ambulatory surgery center, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and governing boards to maintain clinical quality and operational efficiency.
- Oversee financial performance, staffing, and patient experience initiatives within the facility.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring sustainable performance and addressing operational risks.
- Support physician credentialing processes and foster strong medical staff relationships.
- Identify opportunities for service line development and operational improvement.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and infection control protocols.
- Participate in operational reviews and facility performance reporting.
- Work closely with USPI’s Home Office to align facility operations with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily administrative, clinical support, and business functions of the facility.
- Serve as a liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and facility leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
- Develop and oversee operating, staffing, and capital budgets.
- Monitor financial performance and address operational risks effectively.
- Oversee staffing, employee performance management, and workforce planning.
- Support physician relationships, credentialing processes, and medical staff coordination.
- Manage vendor, service, and physician contracts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of senior administrative or healthcare management experience.
- Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center leadership or hospital surgical leadership with ASC exposure.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards, preferably AAAHC.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple operational areas effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Comfort working in both office and clinical environments.
- Mobility to move throughout the facility as needed.
