Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist surgeons during procedures by providing skilled support and ensuring surgical tasks are executed safely and effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical environments, ensuring sterility and readiness for procedures.
  • Monitor patient conditions during surgeries, responding promptly to changes and ensuring optimal care.
  • Document surgical procedures and patient responses accurately to support continuity of care.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field required, with accredited RN First Assistant program completion.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical First Assist; 3 years preferred.
  • Current RN licensure required, demonstrating proficiency in perioperative nursing and surgical assisting techniques.
  • Strong communication, delegation, and coordination skills essential for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining focus on patient care and safety.
