Job Description

Overview

  • Lead clinical operations and strategic initiatives across multiple healthcare centers in the assigned market.
  • Combine clinical expertise with leadership to drive operational excellence and patient outcomes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Clinical Directors and medical staff to achieve organizational goals.
  • Engage in direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician alongside leadership responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to implement clinical strategies and optimize market performance.
  • Foster a culture of excellence aligned with organizational values and service standards.
  • Develop external partnerships to enhance market presence and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical quality standards and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise Clinical Directors across multiple centers, ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach medical staff to enhance clinical outcomes and leadership capabilities.
  • Monitor and improve center performance metrics, including financial results and patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct physician shadowing, one-on-one sessions, and leadership development programs.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding clinical talent for the centers.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to execute strategic initiatives and improve market performance.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and oversee referral and utilization authorizations.
  • Provide direct patient care to maintain clinical expertise and credibility.
  • Build relationships with payers, specialists, and community stakeholders to enhance market presence.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with active state medical license required.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience; 10 years preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Director or equivalent with Medicare/Medicaid populations preferred.
  • Proven track record in clinical leadership and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of managed care delivery systems and population risk management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 30% of the time.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
