- Supervise, mentor, and develop Clinical Directors to achieve exceptional patient care outcomes.
- Balance direct patient care responsibilities with strategic leadership and operational initiatives.
- Drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency while fostering a culture aligned with organizational values.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to implement quality improvement and performance strategies.
- Engage in talent acquisition and development to strengthen clinical capabilities and leadership pipeline.
- Establish relationships with external stakeholders to enhance market presence and credibility.
- Support clinical initiatives using insights into local market dynamics and healthcare trends.
- Contribute to cost reduction strategies and uphold high standards of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Hold accountability for clinical outcomes and management of Medical Directors in assigned centers.
- Ensure successful clinical operations and achievement of market performance goals.
- Mentor and coach Medical Directors to deliver outstanding clinical results and foster professional growth.
- Facilitate development of PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors through shadowing and leadership planning.
- Cultivate a physician culture aligned with organizational values and standards.
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing clinical candidates to support talent lifecycle.
- Monitor market culture and address workplace concerns to maintain a positive environment.
- Review referrals and provide backup for market utilization authorizations as needed.
- Assist with market quality and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with active state medical license required.
- Board eligibility required; board certification preferred in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience; 10 years preferred for senior-level expertise.
- Leadership experience with Medicare or Medicaid patient populations strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in managed care delivery systems and quality improvement processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to build relationships with external organizations.
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 30% as required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement initiatives.
