Overview

  • Lead tax compliance and planning initiatives, ensuring precision and adherence to regulations in a dynamic professional environment.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns, delivering strategic insights tailored to diverse client needs.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, fostering professional development and enhancing technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and estate tax returns, including multi-state filings with precision.
  • Analyze and review tax projections and quarterly estimates, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff, cultivating a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Respond to inquiries and audits from tax authorities, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive tax research and document findings to support informed decision-making processes.
  • Prepare client meeting packages and deliver strategic insights to strengthen client relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including partners and business managers, to ensure alignment.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of industry trends and practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with a strong academic record.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience, with 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software such as CCH Axcess.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial statement analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
