Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare patients for medical procedures, ensuring their comfort and readiness for examinations.
  • Document patient history, vital signs, and other relevant health information accurately and promptly.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Educate patients about their health conditions, prescribed treatments, and preventive measures.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment to uphold safety standards.
  • Monitor and restock medical supplies to ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery.
  • Identify and report any issues affecting patient care quality to appropriate supervisors.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care planning initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 4 years preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience in healthcare settings; familiarity with FQHC operations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional languages, such as Creole, is preferred.
