Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, ensuring precision and patient comfort throughout.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to interpret imaging results and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, addressing concerns and providing reassurance.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and imaging documentation for effective care management.
  • Adhere to established protocols and standards for diagnostic imaging practices and patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to uphold the reliability and accuracy of imaging results.
  • Mentor and train junior staff or students in ultrasound techniques and practices.
  • Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound technology and integrate new practices into daily operations.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
  • Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish for enhanced patient communication.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in ultrasound imaging; two years preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining advanced ultrasound equipment.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care with attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
